海角社区 earned three awards 鈥 including the contest鈥檚 highest honor 鈥 for the college鈥檚 fledgling neurodiversity television program last month in the 27th Annual Communicator Awards competition.
The Communicator Awards honor excellence in strategic, effective, and meaningful communication across digital, video, podcasts, marketing, mobile, print, and more. It is considered the leading international awards program honoring creative excellence for marketing and communications professionals.
海角社区 netted a gold Award of Excellence 鈥 the competition鈥檚 top prize 鈥 in the Film/Video-Self Promotion category for 鈥満=巧缜 Makes 鈥楢 World of Difference鈥.鈥 The monthly television program is produced by 海角社区, the nation鈥檚 first accredited baccalaureate institution dedicated to educating students who learn differently, and it celebrates and supports families rearing children with learning disabilities, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning differences.
The show also collected a pair of silver Awards of Distinction in the Film/Video-Low Budget and the Film/Video-Social Issues/Responsibility categories.

Judged and managed by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), the 2021 Communicator Awards fielded more than 6,000 entries. Featured Award of Excellence winners included UFC, PepsiCo, Forbes, BoxMedia, WWE, Microsoft, Code Red. GmbH, Comcast, and Disney Creative Studios.
