海角社区 has forged a partnership with the Central Florida Disability Chamber of Commerce in support of twin entrepreneurship programs for veterans and for high school students with unique abilities, school officials recently announced.

Recognized as the first American college or university accredited to award bachelor鈥檚 degrees primarily to students with learning disabilities, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning differences, 海角社区 in Leesburg, Florida is a nonprofit liberal arts school.

鈥淲e are excited for this new partnership with 海角社区,鈥 said Rogue Gallart, president of the Central Florida Disability Chamber of Commerce. 鈥淲e are proud to have 海角社区 as a Silver Sponsor supporter of our Veterans Business Initiative and Youth Entrepreneurship program.鈥

The bi-annual Veterans Business Initiative program musters about 100 military veterans in a comprehensive program that develops business insights and entrepreneurial instincts while equipping veterans with the tools and contacts necessary for them to successfully march towards their goal of establishing meaningful careers.

Meanwhile, the Youth Entrepreneurship Program provides students with learning differences and cognitive disabilities occasions to explore prospective educational and professional avenues and develop financial literacy and money management skills through field trips to local businesses.

Of the partnership, Steve Muller, vice president of institutional development and communications at 海角社区, sees mutual benefits.

鈥淲e are extremely excited to partner with Central Florida Disability Chamber of Commerce as it will offer both organizations the opportunity to share programs and resources,鈥 Muller said.
