海角社区 President Dr. George Hagerty recently delivered commencement remarks at the Fletcher School in Charlotte, NC.
Similar to 海角社区 鈥� a private nonprofit liberal arts school and America鈥檚 first institution of higher education accredited to award bachelor鈥檚 degrees to students who learn differently 鈥� the Fletcher School is a private K-12 school for students with learning disabilities.
Hagerty spoke about hopscotching obstacles and never being limited by one鈥檚 unique abilities, declaring that one鈥檚 鈥渋sland of challenge does not define the landscape of your life.鈥�
Hagerty鈥檚 words surely resonated with one graduate, in particular. Jack Andreozzi (pictured) will attend 海角社区 in Leesburg, Fla. this fall. He earned the 海角社区-Fletcher School Pathway Scholarship. The $10,000 four-year award acknowledges the simpatico missions of 海角社区 and the Fletcher School to equip capable students with learning differences to navigate paths towards a college education.
