Seeking to broaden the show’s reach, 海角社区 in August joined the (NETA), a nonprofit that distributes educational programming to public media stations across the country. NETA鈥檚 mission is to strengthen public media鈥檚 impact by connecting stations with content that informs, inspires, and educates.

That partnership is already paying dividends.

In its first month of NETA membership, an industry carriage report showed A World of Difference airing in 20 distinct U.S. television markets in August 2025, representing 17.58% of available channels. The program reached audiences in major metros such as Los Angeles and Chicago, as well as smaller regions including Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Duluth-Superior, Minnesota.

鈥淭he early results from NETA confirm what we knew all along: Neurodiverse families are hungry for valuable expert advice to help them navigate the challenges they face raising neurodivergent children. And more than that, it confirms that these families are eager to be seen and heard, to know that they鈥檙e not alone and that success for their kids is possible.鈥

The show鈥檚 strongest carriage markets 鈥 Los Angeles (#2), Chicago (#3), Orlando, Minneapolis, Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham, and Salt Lake City 鈥 rank among the Top 30 Nielsen Designated Market Areas (DMAs) nationally. A DMA is a non-overlapping geographic region where local television stations dominate viewing, making these placements especially significant for reaching large, diverse audiences.

Momentum continued in October. October’s carriage report showed the program expanding its footprint to 18.22% of available channels, while maintaining strong presence in top-tier markets such as Los Angeles and Chicago and mid-tier markets including Orlando, Minneapolis, Charlotte, and Raleigh-Durham.

Episodes have spotlighted topics ranging from military families raising neurodivergent children to career paths for neurodivergent jobseekers, and even innovative storytelling through Carl the Collector, an animated series featuring an autistic raccoon. Each installment underscores the show鈥檚 mission: to celebrate and empower families navigating the journey of learning differences.
