The CSS Office Assistant provides front desk and administrative support for the Center for Student Success. This role is focused on delivering excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff while helping maintain efficient day-to-day office operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and assist students, faculty, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phones, take messages, and direct inquiries appropriately
- Announce appointments and manage front desk sign-ins
- Assist with data entry for daily open learning log
- Support office projects, events, and job fairs as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area
- Monitor office supplies and notify supervisor when restocking is needed
Skills and Qualifications
- Current student in good academic standing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information responsibly
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior customer service or office experience
- Experience working in a campus office or student-facing role
