海角社区 Calinda Strayhorn
Calinda Strayhorn is a library assistant at the 海角社区 Library. She has worked in numerous library settings since a young age and connects her educational background of humanities and AI into her library work.
Strayhorn has been published by the American Library Association with Defying Silence: 3 Censorship Myths Exposed聽as part of ALA’s community zine project. She presented at two national conferences in 2026. At University of Central Florida’s Teaching and Learning with AI conference she presented Making AI Accessible: Concrete Strategies for Teaching Undergraduates in the Academic Library聽alongside her colleagues. At Generative AI in Libraries (GAIL) she presented聽Different by Design: AI Workshops and Neurodiverse Success.
Strayhorn has also received professional certifications, including AI Literacy Essentials for Academic Libraries from Clarivate and LibTech Insights, Social Emotional Learning in the Library from Public Library Association, Artificial Intelligence in the School Library from American Association of School Librarians, Facing the Challenge: Intellectual Freedom in Libraries from Public Library Association, Crisis Communications for Library Leaders from American Library Association, and Canva certifications.
