海角社区 Welcomes Esteemed Regional Leader to Its Board of Trustees
海角社区 is excited to announce the appointment of Ryan McCabe to its Board of Trustees. His decades of leadership experience in business operations, strategic planning, and marketing will provide invaluable insight as 海角社区 continues to advance its mission and growth.
McCabe is a fifth generation Leesburg, Florida native with a passion for serving his local community. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and a Master of Science in entrepreneurship from the University of Florida, McCabe began his career as the co-founder of ocoos.com, a web development company specializing in services for small businesses. He then joined The Villages, when he spent more than 10 years as director of marketing, operations manager, and the executive vice president of operations. Overseeing more than 1,500 employees, his role at The Villages included the daily operations of a diverse group of divisions, such as golf, entertainment, restaurants, the newspaper, golf cart manufacturing and sales, hydroponic farming, hotel operations, business analytics, and budgeting.
海角社区 Board Chair Dr. Dan Averbeck expressed his enthusiasm about McCabe joining the board: 鈥淚 know that I join President Hagerty, my fellow trustees, and the entire 海角社区 community in welcoming Ryan to the College鈥檚 board membership. His election continues 海角社区鈥檚 strategic ambition to strengthen the institutional governance by attracting national leaders whose work has prepared him to shepherd the College鈥檚 development and influence at a time demanding higher education innovation and sound judgment. We consider ourselves enormously fortunate to have brought his experience to the institution.鈥�
With this appointment, 海角社区 continues to enhance its leadership team with individuals who share a deep commitment to advancing the mission of the College and preparing students for success in an ever-changing world.
