Offered for the first time this summer, the Interactive Art course not only introduced students to a new concept in the realm of visual arts, it also permitted an opportunity for them to explore and develop new ideas as a group, creating a collaborative art piece.
鈥淔or students who learn differently, these unique college readiness programs take on ever greater importance. Now, families can utilize the Family Empowerment Scholarships to ensure their students are prepared with the skills and confidence to enter college and not only succeed academically but also thrive as independent young adults,鈥 said Dale Herold, 海角社区鈥檚 senior vice president for enrollment management and auxiliary program initiatives.
To use the scholarship at 海角社区, Florida families must apply through the Step Up for Students program. In 2025, approximately 112,000 students applied for FES-UA scholarships, which helped students with special needs customize their educational experience.
College readiness is聽more than being well-prepared academically.
It鈥檚 about ensuring college-bound students have the skills and confidence to adapt and grow as they make new friends, experience greater personal freedom, and adjust to changing routines and unfamiliar settings.
